Chemicals and Drugs are causing Autism

Scientists seem to grow closer to understanding the causes of autism. Environmental factors suspected to trigger autism than genetic factors. The environmental factors include exposure of chemicals and drugs. The expert from Stanford University compared the autism cases in identical twins and non identical twins who share only half of the same gene. Apparently, Autism cases are more prevalent in non identical twins, so the experts assess that there are other factors besides genetic factors that trigger autism.

Other study mentions that mother who have children with autism, was consume antidepressant drugs a year before her pregnancy. This risk would be increased considerably, reach a three-fold, especially if antidepressant drug was taken in early pregnancy.

Research that published in the Archives of General Psychiatry journal says that environmental factors, such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or infections, trigger autism in children were genetically inclined. So far it had always existed allegations of environmental factors influence, but this research strengthen the theory.
